How does BestWeddingSpeech actually work?
You answer questions about your role (best man, maid of honor, etc.), your tone preference, and most importantly — you add 3 to 5 real stories or memories about the couple. BestWeddingSpeech uses these to write a full speech that sounds like you gave it thought, not like you copied a template. The more specific your stories, the more personal the result.
Will my speech sound AI-generated?
Only if you give generic input. The AI is trained to use your specific stories as the core of the speech, not filler phrases. Compare: 'He's always been a great friend' vs. 'When my dad got sick, he drove four hours every weekend for three months.' The second version is what happens when you give real details. Generic input gets generic output — and we tell you this upfront.
What do I get for free?
A complete speech outline (structure, key beats, flow) and a short preview draft showing the opening and key moments. This lets you evaluate whether the direction is right before you pay. Most people find the outline alone is useful even if they want to write the full version themselves.
What's included in the $29 paid version?
The full-length speech at your chosen target length (2, 3, 5, or 7 minutes). You can click any paragraph to rewrite it — funnier, simpler, shorter, more sincere, or 'sounds more like me.' PDF export for printing. Practice/teleprompter mode with adjustable speed and text size. And 30-day access via email link.
Can I edit the speech myself after generating?
Yes — you can copy the text and edit it anywhere. The paid version also includes paragraph-level rewriting tools so you can say 'make this funnier' or 'shorten this' without restarting. Think of it as a starting point that's already 80% done.
How long does generation take?
Typically 20 to 40 seconds from when you click 'Generate.'
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can generate and view your draft with no account. After paying, we send the access link to your email so you can return to your draft anytime within 30 days.
What speech types do you support?
Best man, maid of honor, father of the bride, wedding vows, and officiant ceremony scripts. Each gets a different structure, tone options, and editorial approach — they're not the same generator with a label swap.
Is the $29 one-time or a subscription?
One-time. You pay once and get 30-day access to your draft with all editing and export features. There's no subscription.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
Email us within 7 days and we'll refund you — no questions asked. The outline and short version are free so you can validate the direction before paying. We think that's fair.
Can I use this for a non-traditional or LGBTQ+ wedding?
Absolutely. The generator uses the names and relationship details you provide. There's no assumption about gender, roles, or who's marrying whom.
What's the 'sounds more like me' rewrite?
A paragraph rewrite option that makes the language less polished and more conversational — like you're talking to people you know, not reading from a prepared script. Useful if the generated version feels a little too formal.
